SANGATHAN- 2024: Annual Sport event of Amity University ends with prize distribution

Joint team of ASET & ASAS won the Overall Sangathan Champion Trophy 2024

Lucknow: The grand finale of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus’ annual sports event, “Sangathan 2024,” concluded  with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony. This year marked the Silver Jubilee of Sangathan, which featured 175 matches across a wide array of indoor and outdoor sports, including chess, table tennis, football, cricket, volleyball, badminton and many more.

The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Anil Vashishth, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus; Wg. Cdr. (Dr.) Anil Kr. Tiwari (Retd.), Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Manju Agrawal, Dean, Student Welfare and Dr. Rajesh K Tiwari, Dean, Academics, along with all the Heads of institutions and Departments.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Manju Agrawal, Dean of Student Welfare, spoke about Amity University’s rich sports tradition. She highlighted that “Sangathan,” the Inter-Amity Institutions Sports Meet, is the prestigious annual mega-event organise to celebrate the birthday of Amity University’s founder, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan. She added that for every Amitian, Sangathan is not just an event, but a festival of dreams, dedication, and hard work.

Dr. Anil Vashishth, Pro Vice-Chancellor, congratulated all participants of Sangathan 2024. He remarked, “Sports not only build health but also provide valuable lessons in discipline and teamwork, which can lead to both personal and professional success. As we conclude Sangathan 2024, let us uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and wellness, inspiring others to embrace the power of sports.” He Spoke.

The event also featured an entertaining cultural program by the students. Prizes and awards were distributed by the Chief Guest to the winners. The coveted Overall Sangathan Champion Trophy 2024 was claimed by the joint team of Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) and Amity School of Applied Sciences (ASAS) Amity Business School secured the second position. The enthusiasm of the students was palpable as they proudly lifted their prizes.
All students and faculty members were present at the event, marking the culmination of a memorable edition of Sangathan.
